Fundamentals and prompt engineering

This practical introductory workshop builds the foundations for using AI more effectively in everyday work. Participants will explore how generative AI works, what it does well, and where its limitations lie, before learning simple techniques for writing better prompts and getting more useful, reliable outputs.


Includes: AI fundamentals; how large language models work; strengths, limitations and common pitfalls; prompting techniques and frameworks; refining and iterating prompts; working with context and source material; evaluating AI outputs; and document & presentation creation.
